The Oracle Developer will be responsible for the developing and maintaining of Client Oracle applications. The employee will be required to address user requests for the maintenance, enhancement and new development of Oracle modules using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.
In addition to developing and maintaining Oracle packages, procedures, functions, triggers, queries, forms and reports, the employee must be willing to adhere to Client’s development and quality assurance standards.

-     Assessing and understanding client needs, identifying requirements, writing technical specifications, designing and developing programs to satisfy the needs of internal customers
-     Interpreting business process requirements and business specifications, and performing the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications software in multiple environments
-     Utilizing proficient coding skills to produce software programs that meet department standards and customer requirements and that meet performance standards and requirements

-     Troubleshoot issues where necessary - can include anything from query plan analysis to data integrity
-     Perform production support and callout after hours
-     Provide feedback to development team on future design changes where deemed necessary

-     Extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle forms and Oracle Reports. Minimum of 8 years experience.   
-     Experience with Oracle transaction processing systems and one or more of the following: J-Developer, Oracle Designer
-     Experience developing applications and participating in full systems development life-cycle
-     Experience in requirements analysis and configuration management
-     Experience with the design and development of customized software application development
-     Experience with Oracle 9i and 10g database technologies 
-     Experience with developing PL/SQL modules, triggers, functions, procedures, queries, and UNIX scripting
-     Must have experience with large backend, transactional databases

1.               PURPOSE OF JOB
 
Database Administrator has primary responsibility for definition, creation and maintenance of the enterprise data model within the computing environments such as Oracle. Analyzes, tests and implements physical database design supporting various business applications (including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines). Ensures data recovery, maintenance, data integrity and space requirements for physical databases are met through formulations and monitoring of policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Provides a high degree of coordination between user, technical, application and corporate entities to ensure effective data management as a corporate enterprise. Above all, ensures solutions meet objectives and establishes and maintains a high level of user trust and confidence in the IT Group’s knowledge of and concern for users’ business needs. Has a willingness to work with various teams of varying levels of technical expertise in a high pressure, complex environment.

3.               WORKING RELATIONSHIP (external/internal individuals/groups to whom products/services/information are provided)
